The Cooking Chronicles by The Stellar Wanderer is purely composed of her cooking experiments and escapades that turned out to be quite edible and well, kinda yummy.
And so the newest addition to my blog, The Cooking Chronicles debuts now.
I have a lot of frustrations ---singing, dancing, directing and COOKING. Yep, I'm definitely a frustrated cook. I was quite denuded to cooking back when I was a child. Almost all of my aunts and uncles are great at cooking especially my grandmother and growing up with them for almost 5 years kinda exposed me to its perks. As for my first recipe (naks kung mka recipe HAHAHAHA), Pasta in Pesto sauce, here's how I did it:
We had uncooked pasta and ham leftovers so I decided to use them before they go to waste. I sauteed one whole onion and a clove of garlic together with the ham.
As for the pesto sauce, I used one sachet of McCormick Pesto Sauce Mix (dissolved in 1/4 cup water together with 6 tablespoon of olive oil) and one pack of Nestle's All purpose cream to give it a creamy finish.
Mix them all together in low fire and add the cream when you're almost done. I added 3 triangles of Laughing Cow cheese and a lot of herbs and spices for a better smell and taste. And taaadaaaaaa~ my very own Pasta in Pesto Sauce! It looks yummy isn't it? My mom loved it so much and same goes for my cousins so it was finished on a whim.
It only took me about 15 mins to cook the sauce and about 20 mins for the pasta. Its very easy to make plus its delicious too! (well, that depends on your taste buds hehehe)
TIP: When you're pasta's almost ready, add about 3 tablespoon of olive oil so that it'll taste better when mixed with sauce.
So, that's it for my very first recipe in The Stellar Wanderer's Cooking Chronicles. Next to come: Maja Blanca.

After my college life went topsy-turvy, I knew I needed a breather. I succumbed to the hustle and bustle of disappointments that it came into a point wherein I didn't know what I was doing, where was I heading and who I was becoming. My college friends sure did know how to comfort me, saying all those cliches "It'll be alright" "tomorrow is another day" and blablabla. Yes, I knew that what tomorrow brings will be very different from today but that feeling of being a failure, of being a disappointment will haunt you every time. :( Luckily, my best-test friends ever came to my aid -- spending their whole saturday with me despite their own busy schedules and boy, I'm very very thankful for them. We went to City Walk and found the perfect foodspot wherein we all never tried: TAMARIND. It is a Thai restaurant serving well, of course, Thai delicacies but altered and suited for the Filipino's taste. I've been to Thailand just recently and I swear their food definitely gives you that foodgasm you've always wanted. And for the first time after a loooooooong time, I took out my camera. HAHAHA!! It was acting up a bit maybe because its in the closet for months but nonetheless, I think these photos will please your eyes. :D

They have a great interior and it gives you this "Thai" vibe
Tom Yum soup. Ahhhhh I swear this has got to be my fave Thai dish
This is me sporting my really short hair
Alyssa, Aprille and Aldren. Too bad Nesha wasn't able to come
Ahhhhhh Thai iced tea
authentic Thai fried rice
Thai beef something. lol. I forgot the name but this one's delicious as well ;)
the famous Pad-Thai!!! Nickhun's fave food xD
Son-in-Law's eggs. Hahaha!! This was supposed to be an appetizer. lol
obligatory bff photo >:)
I just had to include this. HAHAHAHAHA :))
That was pretty much it. After eating we went strolling around the mall and hanged until 9pm at Milk + Tea -- that of which will be posted separately.
One thing I learned after this hell week: NEVER EVER GIVE UP.
There will definitely come a point in our lives that giving up is the easiest option but taking the easy way will never be as rewarding as taking the harder curve.

The Stellar Wanderer or more commonly known as Katrina is one hell of a random being. She likes to take pictures but doesn't really consider herself a photographer, she likes to shoot videos but she never really embraced film-making. More or less she is a self-proclaimed movie geek and Kpop fanatic. She is currently obsessed with fashion and losing weight. She considers this little space her diary so please bear with her agonies.
