Last day of 2012
POSTED ON Monday 31 December 2012 AT 05:11 \\ 0 comments
Whooooot! 3 hours left and we will forever bid good bye to 2012. Though my life literally went topsy-turvey, I am still thankful for the year that was. I learned so much from all those experiences --both good and bad, and I am lucky enough to have survived it all. Teeheee.

And for the last day of the year, I did something I haven't tried ever since --general house cleaning! -_-
Unfortunately, our helper went home for the holidays so I was left to do some chores. Fact: I hate washing the dishes! I'd rather do all the sweeping and the cooking and shizzzz, just don't let me wash the dishes. HAHAHA. Since all I did earlier was cleaning, I'm gonna show some photos of my home after the makeover for the new year. Proud kid here!!!! *u*

PHOTOS TO FOLLOW. Crappy internet connection rn. ><

Nobody's perfect.

Mistakes are inevitable and yes, most of the time we regret it but actually the best thing to do is to move on and take it as a valuable lesson.
Okay so while I was attending mass earlier this morning, there was one lector who failed to read one of words in the gospel correctly. Usually, when things like that happen, I just continue reading the passage so that people wouldn't recognize that I actually made a mistake. But instead of doing so, the lector chuckled--and she was holding the mic. And what made it worst? The priest was beside her the whole time! It was so humiliating. After the mass, I saw her run to her parents, crying so hard and apologizing for what she did. I felt sorry for her but I know I can't to anything about it. I used to be a lector too (before I became severely busy with school work) so I seriously know how it feels to read in front of a huge crowd, listening intently to every word you say. I would get jitters and my palms would be soaking in sweat and sometimes my throat would dry up. LOL.
We can't really avoid those things but that must not stop us from trying again either. Remember, practice makes perfect. :D

2 mornings left and I'll be completing this year's Misa De Gallo. That also means there's only 2 days left before Christmas! Yayyyyy *happydance*

Buddies for life

"Friends are life's simple pleasures."

It's been almost 6 years since my TKD (taekwondo) friends and I met. There were 3 of them, coming from the same school and having the same year. I knew they've been friends for a long time, it's quite obvious. And there I was, a loner for quite sometime until one of them, Francesa to be exact, approached me and asked for my name ---and the rest became history.

6 years had past, many things happened and a lot of changes occurred but there was one thing that remained constant, our friendship. *u* Last sunday, the 4 of us came together to celebrate the birthday of Shwenky. I was on a diet but when you're with the company of great friends, you just can't say no to food and desserts. Lol.

Misa De Gallo
POSTED ON Sunday 16 December 2012 AT 07:04 \\ 0 comments
I had always been very vocal when it comes to my religion and beliefs --my friends can attest to that. As a catholic devotee, I believe that going to mass every sunday is a MUST and it is also the highest form of prayer for us humans. But despite being religious, there are still a lot of times wherein I would disagree with the church. I would be hypocrite if I said I didn't.

Anyways, besides the birth of Jesus, another thing that excites me during Christmas is the Misa De Gallo or more commonly known as Simbang Gabi. Here in the Philippines, one of the oldest traditions that is still highly practiced is the Simbang Gabi. For 9 mornings, devotees of the child Jesus would wake up in the wee hours of the night to go to mass in preparation for his birth and it ends on christmas, the day Jesus is born.
Ever since I was in high school (roughly 4 year ago HAHAHAHA), it has always been my "panata" to finish all nine mornings of Simbang Gabi. My Lola once told me that if I finished all 9 mornings, I get to wish for anything that I want and it will come true. Okay okay, back in the day, that was mainly the reason why, despite having to wake up early, I still continue to go to mass. HAHAHA I am sooooo petty I know but now that I've grown and matured, that is no longer the reason why I still continue my panata. Now, it's something that I continue to do for my own faith and not only for some wishes.

The first day of Simbang Gabi is over and I'm glad I didn't doze off even for just a second. The real challenge comes when its almost over, when waking up early is so dreadful you just want to give up.
I'll try to keep this blog updated with my Simbang Gabi adventures as much as possible but I need to say bye bye for now so that I can wake up later. Teeheee. God bless! :D

When was the last time you made a wish?

It's December 12, 2012 and for some uhm, odd reason, people are making a big fuss about it. Apparently, it's just another Wednesday and I bet everyone would agree....right? :O
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a skeptic, especially when it comes to wishes and fantasies but I just don't think that it will make a difference whether you make a wish on an ordinary day or you make a wish on a date that is coincidentally repetitive ----12/12/12.

Ever since I was a kid, I was made to believe that wishes will/can come true when you wish on a falling star or if you finish the 9 mornings of Simbang Gabi and bla bla bla. Parents, ugh, why do they do that? As I grew up, I realized that making a wish is as simple as 1,2,3. If you want to make a wish, just do it. It doesn't matter where you are, what time of the day (lol like 11:11) or what date it is, just do it. If you're lucky, it may come true but if you're not, you gotta make your own luck and make your dreams into reality.

The Stellar Wanderer
POSTED ON Tuesday 11 December 2012 AT 05:24 \\ 0 comments
I know, I know, I disappeared for more than a month again and I know apologizing won't do any good. It's just that I want to pursue blogging this much that I seriously feel sorry for not updating. Besides, I don't think people actually read my blog because 1. I don't update regularly and 2. nobody knows my blog.....well except for some close friends. I started this blog not because I wanted to be famous or something but because I wanted to share my liking for fashion (HAHAHAHAHA) and photography. Plus, I needed a place to vent out my frustrations, a place where I wouldn't get ridiculed or belittled because of my impulsive actions. Thus, this blog was born. LOL. And tumblr is just too mainstream ---even your personal posts gets reblogged. :O Hohohoho. So from now on, I vow to the stars and the universe that I will regularly update my blog as I wander along the galaxies of this lifetime. *happy dance*
